About the event

Meet at: Burley Woodhead Village Green, top of Moor Lane 

This walk will visit some of the lower-level archaeological sites on Burley Moor around Woofa Bank. Dr Keith Boughey is a local historian and expert on the Bronze Age who has researched and written extensively on the subject. He will lead the walk and provide detailed information about the sites. The walk will involve some climbing on field paths and tracks and on occasion will cross rough open moor. The route may vary according to weather conditions.  Please ensure you have suitable footwear and clothing with enough to drink.  The aim will be to end the walk by 5pm with refreshments at The Hermit Inn. No dogs please.
