​Skateboarding, Scooter and BMX tuition                      
Time: 10am, 11am, 12noon and 1:15pm
Venue: Skateboard Park on the Recreation Ground, behind MCC Garage

By popular demand The Works Skate Park, Leeds are coming back to Burley! Do you want to improve the basics of skateboarding, BMX or scootering or do you want to take it to the next level and learn some tricks? Whatever your age or ability this is the event for you. Expert coaches will be there to teach you. Helmets are provided, but please bring your own pads, if required.
​Cost: £4 per 45-minute session

​Stage 84 Drama Workshops
Time: Junior Workshop (7–10 yrs) 10:30am,
Senior Workshop (11–18 yrs) 11:30am (The Senior Workshop has been cancelled due to lack of support)
Venue: Queen’s Hall

Why not sign up for one of Stage 84’s fun drama workshops? Come along and experience exciting improvisations, use dramatic pieces of scripts, develop interesting characters and take part in lots of drama games. Get creative, enjoy yourself and make new friends too. We can’t wait to meet you! No previous acting experience required.

​Beer Festival continues …
Time: 12noon till late
Venue: Burley Social Club, Hill Top

Day two of our Beer Festival - plenty more hand pulled beers and entertainment. Watch the Challenge Cup Final live on the BIG SCREEN, kick off 2:30pm, followed later by live music from Blue Star Tattoo! Rocking tunes from the likes of ACDC, Thin Lizzy, the Jam, Pulp and many more. On stage from 9pm.
Cost: The price of the beer

​Family Fun Afternoon: Laser Tag Dome, Spider Mountain, Ultimate Wipeout, Under 5’s Play Park and more
Time: 12noon - 4pm
Venue: Recreation Ground (Behind MCC Garage)
We are pleased to announce a family fun afternoon with four pieces of large play equipment from Bradford Play and Activities Department. Full supervision will be provided whilst children are using the equipment. The under 5’s Play Park is the only piece of Bradford’s equipment suitable for smaller children - please be aware that there is a minimum height requirement for Spider Mountain. We will have some games and activities available for free. Refreshments will also be available provided by Burley and Woodhead C of E Primary School PTA.
Cost: Varies between £1 (under-fives equipment); £2-£3 (older children’s equipment)
Booking: Payment will be through tickets for sale on the Recreation Ground on the day.

​Walk #12 - Otley Wetlands Nature Reserve Guided Tour
Time: 1pm
Venue: Meet at the Roundhouse, Grange Park

This will be a four and a half mile walk to visit Otley Wetlands Nature Reserve, which is not normally open to the public. The reserve consists of water areas, recently planted woodlands and reed beds.  It hosts many varieties of mammals, birds, insects and flora.  On reaching the reserve, we will have  a guided tour with one of the Trustees. The walk will be via Eastfield Lane, Otley Golf Course and West Busk Lane. We will return to Otley Market Place about 4:30pm, where the walk will finish. No dogs please.
​Cost: Free - bring money for the return bus journey to Burley

Venue: Salem Church Hall

Do you fancy seeing a film in the village? Salem Church Hall has a film on every fourth Saturday of the month. Watch out for further announcements on their Facebook page or on the hall noticeboards for which film will be showing.
Cost: Suggested donation of £5

Opera Evening
Time: 7:30pm
Venue: Methodist Church

We are delighted to welcome back a quartet of fabulous singers from Opera North: Rachel Luxon (Soprano), Kathryn Walker (Mezzo), Ivan Sharpe (Tenor) and Dean Robinson (Bass) accompanied at the piano by the very talented conductor and collaborative pianist, Philip Voldman. Filled with drama, wit and romance, the evening will include arias and ensembles from operatic favourites, complete with a programme of lighter music from operetta and musical theatre classics from the 20th century.
