The walk provides a special opportunity to learn all about beekeeping in Burley and Menston. We will visit three members of the Wharfedale Beekeepers Association who can talk about what it means to be a beekeeper in Wharfedale.

About the event

The walk provides a special opportunity to learn all about beekeeping in Burley and Menston. We will visit three members of the Wharfedale

Beekeepers Association who can talk about what it means to be a beekeeper in Wharfedale. This will include an outline of what the inside of

a hive looks like, explaining why bees swarm and how honey is extracted.

There will be some roadside walking, plus mostly level tracks and lanes. You will be able to either finish the walk in Menston at about 12 noon, to catch the train back to Burley, or walk back via Bleach Mill Lane.
